Yes of course, they will say, times are hard and you have to adjust to the new reality.

Naturally, that only applies to you. Not to them (them being the small elite who not only own most of it, but won't rest until they've got your share too).

So we're having to pay for expensive foreign wars we didn't want in the first place; be bullied by anti-terror laws that our government helped create the reasons why we're told we need them; be bullied at work because as jobs get more scarce our employers can more easily treat us like shite.

All a bit rubbish really.
