15 billion - what happened to the 150 billion?

Well, the public sector has to tighten it's belt eh?

It's just rubbish this way of being treated. Just rubbish.

Malnutrition and Manna

The banking sector, thanks to this govenment has been showered with Manna from the heavenly bank of England. The scale, breathtaking, must be something in the region of about one quarter of the UK's GDP.

At the same time, here in this, one of the richest nations on this earth, we look on as people sleep in the streets and our children face a future of stunted growth and attendant health problems...

All because the money was spent at the bank, not at the shops to feed them.

It's that simple.

The "special" one

So Gordon Brown is being touted as the "special one" now, is he? Oh, but what's this? Obama has returned the bust of Churchill... oh, someone else was invited to the Whitehouse first?

Not so special now eh?

Oh well, never mind Gordon, just you wait until they need someone to go into some other poor country and shoot and kill people, I'm sure they'll remember you... or perhaps by then Mr Cameron will be 'Dear David' as opposed to Gorgeous Gordon.

Don't make me laugh.

How we should run the (world) economy

Might be heavy going, but I think this is very interesting stuff indeed - especially since this latest post is saying that China is the one to watch, and to compare and contrst with!

the end is night . . . Again

Except of course that it isn't.

See here <http://www.ablog.typepad.com> for a commentry on economic trends, and more importantly, in my view, the politics that arises from and is driven by those trends.
